I will come right out with it - I AM GOING TO BE A GRANDMOTHER!!!!!!!!!!!! This is such amazing news! Our 25 yr old daughter,Carrie called me Saturday morning. Friday night I had had a dream and Carrie,in the dream,had done 2 pregnancy tests and they were positive. I told Carrie about the dream and she kind of said,Oh really? We chatted about a zillion other things and then she said that she needed to get going because she was going to see a movie with some of the teachers she works with.About 10 minutes later a florist delivery truck pulls up out front and the guy comes walking up to the door with this beautiful topiary arrangement. I peeked at the card and saw HAPPY EASTER LOVE,CARRIE & RUSTY. A little while later I was walking by and admiring it again when something about the card caught my eye! I ripped it out of the plastic holder and noticed that next to the LOVE,CARRIE & RUSTY there were some printed daisies and just before the daisies it said &? and I went into a shrieking fit! I am not usually an excitable person but I have been like Tigger around here lately! The worst part is that I couldnt call her because she was at the movies!!!!!!!!! But I COULD leave messages on her cell phone! When she FINALLY called me I said:Well,arent YOU the cool cucumber! I cant keep a secret(not my own anyway),she is obviously not like me in that respect! She confirmed that she had gone 36 days with her cycle the last time (which isnt too unusual because she only has one Ovary) and when she started having sore breasts figured she had better do a test. While I was prattling on about my dream with the 2 positive tests,she was, in fact ,staring at 2 positive pregnancy tests!! They live in the town where Rusty grew up. There is a beautiful place there called Bok Tower Gardens which is world renowned. Rusty proposed to her there,they were married there in a beautiful "white garden" with all white blooms and a gorgeous reflecting pool complete with swans.... And so,where else would she break the news that Rusty is going to be a daddy? There are trails there where they like to go running after work. Carrie printed up a message that said: My excitement cant be matched! A new Ingley is going to be hatched! and tucked it into a plastic Easter egg.As they jogged along the path she tossed it off to the side and then stopped and said:What was that bright yellow thing back there???? Rusty,of course,went back & found it and was thrilled! Susannah,it seems,needs some time to get used to the idea. She keeps saying:I dont want to be Auntie Susannah,I just want to be the Big little sister! Hugs to you all,Catherine (One happy grandmama to be!)
