Allisun's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

July 9, 2004

Hello!

I’d like to sit and chat about what’s cooking in my part of the world but I haven’t got twelve days. The garage sale alone must be about six chapters. What I will share (because I’m running out of people to tell), is tomorrow Danielle and I are taking part in the Chase, a cross Canada race that’s based on Survivor, Fear Factor and Amazing Race. We can only use public transportation, the first team to finish 10 out of 15 challenges and cross the finish line, goes to nationals. We’re up against 250 teams and all I know that a couple challenges feature tricycles, snakes and tarantulas. And eating some disgusting creatures probably. At this moment, I feel like I will do or eat anything (so what that I can’t even eat soggy cereal without gagging) and I’m grateful that tarantulas may be the ugliest fuzzy things in the world but they won’t kill me. We’re both pretty tough and competitive. She thinks things to death while I’m impulsive. She’s an optimizer, I’m a go-getter. Someone who knows us both very well swears we’ll make the best team because for as much as we have in common, our differences are a great balance. We’re bringing or wearing so much stuff, we may be not be able to move but both of us will go down fighting.

I think.

I’ll post like crazy next week. May I drive into my next entry in my new Volvo,

Allisun
