When does Mommy get a break
Introduction
O.K. So today I had a plan of action. Well, let's just say that's what I get for having a plan! I did get my daughter off to preschool and stayed for the first 1/2 hour. She could have cared less that I left & I was fine with that. My child being one of the only ones that was not in tears screaming for mommy or daddy as they were departing for 4 hours. I even managed to make it to my yoga class with 2 minutes to spare, however, after that my plan fell to the wayside. I asked my youngest son today, how did I ever work downtown? he said, you just didn't do all of this stuff for us mom. Good point. In the last 2 days I have worked 2.7 hours. My typical work day consists of a minimum of 6 hours with the exception of weekends. Those days I try to work only 3-4 hours. I am dreading this pay period because the way I am going, I will be lucky to get in 70 hours! My daughter's surgery is Monday & we have to be at the hospital by 9:00 a.m. The hospital is about 20 minutes away, however, during rush hour it's more like 45 minutes, then there's the whole parking thing. My sweet little one has no idea what's ahead of her. Maybe after she is all healed, mommy will get a break. I have a feeling it might involve a bottle of wine & I don't even drink! LOL!
