Whats been going on
September 23, 2007
I was starting to feel lonely here since no one has updated their journals since Spring/Summer when I realized it has been awhile since I have updated. Since my last post Mike did have to have surgery he had it on Tuesday and got out of the hospital the day before his birthday. He has been in pain and really uncomfortable. What they did was make an incision in his neck and take out the herniated disk and put in a donor bone and screw a titanium plate in his neck. He was out of surgery after three hours and was home the next morning. The interesting thing was that I taught myself how to read his MRI. They didn't have the results read yet but they did hand us the films to take home with us. I googled for MRI imaging and then read the film. I was kind of sad that I was right because that meant that he did need surgery but thankfully we got it done quickly. The Dr. said he had a pinched nerve that was causing all his pain.
School for Emmy and myself is going fine. She loves it. I really miss the kids we had last year. I like the new kids but I really miss the old ones to. We are in the process of splitting all of our two year olds up. Really 10 kids in a class is crazy. They are just learning to play and socialize so the best thing is to have a small intimate class. So I am hoping that we can get that worked out before classes begin for October.
Abbey has had a busy weekend. She had to leave at 6:30 am for a track meet and then at 3 she had a ballgame to cheer at. Of course neither was in the county we live in. The track meet was a cross-country meet for those that don't know what that means she ran a mile on grass and dirt they path they had laid out for them was up and down hill and around curves. I was so proud of her for finishing. She is the slowest on the team and I thought she would get discouraged but she enjoys it. She started to stop yesterday at the meet but I told her she wasn't last and she got a burst of energy and kept going. I couldn't stop telling her how proud I was. I would have been proud no matter what as long as she finished but that she wasn't last made it better. Abbey has never been very athletic so for her to do this and keep at is amazing. At the Football game the cheerleaders left at half time but we didn't we stayed because Abbey's "boyfriend" was playing and she promised she would pose for a picture because his mom and I are totally lame and wanted one. She started crying when he coached asked why we were not leaving yet and I said we had to watch the boyfriend. She told me she didn't want people to make fun of her because of Tate. After I printed off the picture she wanted me to stick it on a key ring to hang off her bag. I tell you I do not understand that girl she can go from "Oh mom your running my life" because I was talking about him to wearing their picture for the world to see. I just can't handle these preteen hormones. Oh yeah I am attaching the picture. I hope this doesn't freak her out.

There is a lot more going on but I have no time to write it up so until I do this will have to be it for now.
