Back to school update

August 21, 2007

I have started typing this update I don't know how many times and could never get it finished so I am so sorry that there hasn't been an update in ages.
We have been busy, busy, busy Abbey has started school. She has her teacher from last year again. The teacher got moved up to second grade. Abbey is happy because she loves her teacher. She is also happy because she is in a class with her friends. Makaylyn and Hannah aren't in her class but Abbey sees them on the playground so she isn't missing them.  She tried riding the bus at first but the bus driver forgot to drop her off once so I said no more and have been dropping her off and picking her up. Abbey has decided that she wants to eat breakfast at school some mornings so we check the menu and she decides when she wants to eat.  I don't know If I mentioned it but Abbey finally learned how to ride her bike without training wheels and dad bought her a new one that is more her size. The next week we got new neighbors. The girl is a year older than Abbey and they have been putting the bikes to use. They have ridden up and down the road across from our houses for hours a day.

This is Abbey (in the middle and her two best friends on the first day of school.

I am recovering well. I have to remind myself that I am still not allowed to do some things. I received the statement from the hospital stay. It is 9 thousand dollars. I have no idea how much my portion will be. I also don't know how much the doctors will charge for their portion. However I think it is worth every penny. Over the weekend we went to our nephews birthday party and I jumped on the trampoline (nothing to extreme) but I was so happy to be able to bounce and not pee on myself. If you have stress incontinence I strongly recommend getting it fixed. It has changed my life for the better.

Mike went on a business trip to Las Vegas and came back with a sore shoulder and neck. He has had problems with it forever and I really think it is time for surgery. He has an appointment today so maybe the ball will finally get in motion.

Emmy is about to start back to preschool.  This year she will go three days and I work two so I will have a day to come home and clean or go shopping. Her preschool class is split this year 6 three year olds and 6 four year olds. I am hoping that she will pick up some stuff from the four year olds. Last year she loved visiting me on Fridays with the fours.  Emmy won a John Deer tractor from Goody's and she has enjoyed riding it around the yard. She has her sister get in the bed of it and then she slams on the gas making her fall

I guess that is all for us. I will try to make regular weekly updates now that school is in session and we have a routine again.
