Bad headaches
February 21, 2007
I have been plagued by bad headaches for the last four days. I think it is a combination of my sinus infection and maybe migraine or tension headaches. I don't usually suffer from headaches other than occasional sinus headaches. My head hurt so bad on Monday that I finally called in to the ob to get some antibiotics, but I am kind of worried that they won't help at all.
I have this funny feeling sometimes when I'm pregnant, like the baby is just kind of doing its thing, and I have to let go and just let the baby grow and not think about it sometimes. I wish the baby well. I feel so sick with my pounding head that it's hard to focus on the little one growing in there. I think to myself "Hang in there, peanut." This feeling will change once I feel kicks and start to pooch out, I'm sure. At that point the relationship becomes more of a conversation. But last night when I was getting the kids ready for bed we were snuggling and I felt proud that I had one child on either side of me and one growing inside of me. I felt very rich.
Daisy got her haircut on Monday and when the lady asked what she wanted done with her hair, she said "Just make it beautiful." She has a nice shoulder-length bob now that I can still put in pony and pigtails. Griffin is pleased because we finally bought a joystick that you can plug into the television, so we've been playing video games more than usual. He said he thinks I rather intriguingly get better at most video games after playing them just a couple of times. I love it when children assume that you've never done something just because you haven't done it in front of them. Griffin was amazed earlier in the year when we went ice skating and I was good at it. He couldn't imagine that I had ever done it before! It's kind of sweet. Their perspective is that their life with you is the only life you've ever had.
