more bad news...

I just can't win lately. Now we have a broken leg in the family! Last Tues Carson was on the trampoline jumping with a neighbor boy, the boy did a flip without telling Carson(our rul eis you let the kids know so they can stand up against the net)....well, Ben came down on Carson's leg and it broke!! Except I didn't know it. He was crying pretty bad, I gave him some Motrin and put some ice on his knee. I thought he hyper extended the thing. I let him sleep with me that ngiht, and he whimpered all night long, so Wed morning I called the nurse line and said I thought he should be checked out. They finally got us an appt....he told the doc it hurt all up and down his leg, so seh sent us for xrays. The 1st xray the tech said was fine, looked good. So I thought for sure things were fine, just sore......2nd xray, the doc called me into another room to see it. There was a crack form one side to the other on his Tibia(just below the knee). To be honest I was in shock and then started laughing, I just couldn't believe it was broke, for real broke!!! So anyways, it's now sunday, he will get his full cast on Tues(they have a cast clinic for all the breaks, they do them all at once). He will have it on for about 2mths(6-8wks).....that is sooooo long. He's already so board, just sitting in the recliner, I feel so bad for him. I told the neighbor mom on Fri that Ben broke Carson's leg, she said she was sorry but really hasn't spoken to us since. Very weird. Most of the neighbors have been so sweet, Joanne and Jim brought him markers, paper and skittles! Shawna and family gave him a box of truck stuff(books, puzzles, stickers) and Cathy and family(and Dani too) gave him a bag full of a ton of those Color Wonderful books and markers. Grandma got him a pirate balloon yesterday too. So he has alot to do, but just doesn't want to sit still. My poor guy, he has some bad luck at times.

He also has his Endoscopy coming up a week from Tues. Not sure if it's the Motrin or not, but his tummy has been hurting alot lately too.
