100th Day....

February 20, 2007

Today is the 100th Day of school, they celebrate it with lots of counting projects. Jake took in 100 football cards to share today.

I did get a call already this morning, they want to make Fruit Loop necklaces so the kids can count out 100!  I just happened to have a box, so I told her it would be okay, but only if it's the Kellogs brand, no off brands allowed(can't check their labels).  When Jake left this morning, I told him, kids may bring in all kinds of weird things in their 100-collections, so please do not touch or eat anything.  Life would be so much easier if they'd just state *no food items please*  I don't think that is too much to ask, personally.  So I have to sit on pins and needles today wondering if he is okay.  Hoping no one brought in 100 Reeces Pieces, or glued 100 Honey Nut Cheerios to a post board....too much stress.

Herer is a video that was posted to me, just want to share.

I even had a surgeons assistant(I used to do daycare for him) but he asked me *so what really happens if they eat something*.  I have typed up instructions on my pantry door for each kid, it gets over whelming, but I need those there incase hubby or grandma is trying to feed the kids.  We have to know who can eat what, it's different for everyone.  But I bet most people think I am over-reacting, really.  Most times the kids will just gets hives, occasional neck squeezing..but with food allergies you never know, one time it could be a swollen lip, the next time it could be they stop breathing.  So you have to be so very careful...and yes over-react just a smidge!  HUGS for today :)
