Thanksgiving Plans??
October 5, 2006
Thanksgiving....
I have been contimplating going to the beach for thanksgiving. I actually want to go into the beach water and swim. HOw in the world do i get these ideas. I am afraid of extreme weather though. I went to the beach for my birthday one year and it was cold and windy. I'd hate to spend the time and wind up spending all the time in the hotel room. This would not be fabulous.
I also would love to go to NY. This is most likely not possible due to my lack of available time off and the fact it's a 12 hour drive. This sucks. I miss my family and feel a tad bit homesick.
However, being away from them eliminates the stress of being there.
Do you think it's weird to spend the holidays in a warm place, wiht a resturant dinner? I think my life is too short to spend cooking in a kitchen. I have been frequently resturants equally each year. One year my friend cooked and it was ok but there was no, no, no dessert. I wasn't pleased. I come from a multiple dessert family.
So, right now I'm on the fence. The beach would be the best location since we have a busy schedule and stuff. On the flip side, I have other things I Could save my holiday to take care of like some DMV issues I have. I'm so on the fence.
Do you think it's weird to buck tradition. What's wrong with eating out for thanksgiving?
Older people act appauled because I mentioned eating out instead of cooking. This hip girl doesn't cook...
