Sunday What a Fun Day...
June 11, 2006
I worked on Friday, I was so tired when I got home. I cannot remember what we did. Oh yeah, we went to a buffet for dinner. Yuck. People have such bad manners and are plain rude at these things. First, kids and older people should be given courtsey at these things, but people act like if they dont' scarf down every piece of chicken that the world will come to an end. I'm a terrible food waster. I had a steak which was tough, and some mashed potatos. Then I ate a mini salad, and some water mellon, my favorite. I also had a bit of ice cream and I was packed. Remember, I mentioned I had gastric bypass so I can only eat a bit of this and that. My ideal meal is protien and veggies or fruit. I'm having alot of problems adhereing to this diet. I didn't think it would be easy. but I have really fallen off my eating regimine. I do think I have an eating disorder, because I can eat stuff that's not ideal and I will go into this later.
On Friday, I got an email from a local college that I was accepted into their MBA program. Now, I love school, I'd be a student forever if it was acceptable. I however, need to buy gas, pay rent, and tuition, so I must work full time. Right now, I'm the 'bread winner' and the klds are the bread eaters. I funnily refer to DH as a kid because he's in school and just as dependant on me as princess.
I also received word that we might be able to secure a place to do a quick beach trip to the coast in the next few weeks. This was good news, because the commerical places are all full during this time. So, my weekend started off on a good note.
I went saturday morning to take care of financial aid for this MBA program. I am supposed to get a student loan to cover the cost, my employer will reimburse me after I pass, but I have to come up with the upfront money. I'm a bit concerned that I won't get a loan because of a past inquiry with a different school who told me I was over the limit. So, if the loan flows like admissions did, I was be smooth and functional. I also registered for a business communications course that I can take over the internet. So, the next thing I need is a Dell Lap Top. We have a desk top, but I want a laptop for just me. My birthday was last month and dh promised when we have the $$ we could get a lap top with wireless internet.
Saturday afternoon Princess and I went to a video store and she rented of all things Hello Kitty, why this funky girl I'll never know. She loves Hello Kitty, this thing doesn't do anything, but she's still kicking decade after decade. We later in the day went to the library to pick up some Chick books for me. Princess got 10 easy reader books, she's reading pretty good on her own, so I'm encrouraging her. I also stayed at the library so she could play some computer games. WE have no agenda most weekends so why not.
Sunday we went to see the movie cars. I thought it was cute, but not really princess and I's style. I would have rather seen the break up movie or omen or something scary. However, I have the queen of scaredness in my house, so we pick and chose very wisely. My daughter is scared of everything. Noises, Chuck E Cheese, and some other charchters. Oh yeah, sacred to death of santa claus.
Yesterday I also realized that, I have three in school. My self, husband and daughter, all with tuition to pay. I know life will be better down the road, but right now, that's a whole lotta tuition.
I did get a $300 book credit for registering yesterday. Now, I just need to make sure my funding is secure and I'll be rolling towards the MBA that I'm not sure why I'm getting. I have three field options, Management, Marketing and something I don't remember. Most likely I'll get management. I found out my employer will only pay for these three programs so those will be the one's i'll look towards.
I also wanted to point out two more things, first, I will not disclose where I live, the closests is Metro or Smalltown. I prefer people who do know where I live not to write on my TTM board because it's private. Secondly, I refuse to disclouse where I work. I will not discuss on any of the boards I visit.
I have this thing about privacy. I beleive that I can blog and diary and still maintain a level of privacy. This is just me.
Along for the Ride.....
