Life just never seems to slow down... finally made it back for a brief note
July 2, 2008
I wish you all a safe and Happy
4th of July
!
I apologize in advance for any typos!![]()
I just can not believe it has taken me a little over 6 months to get back here. I have been over to Teenagers today to my other diary since the last time I was here, but I must have ran out of time, as usual, and never made it over to this diary. The site automatically comes up with my Teenagers today diary, so I must not have been able to get it to switch to my Moms or I just ran out of time. I can't say for sure.
Anyway, we are all alive and well and everyone is getting older faster and faster it seems. Mr. Asher(the baby) turned 5 a little over 2 months ago, and little Miss Brianna is nearly 10.5 already. They seem to just about grow up in the blink of an eye, that is for sure. And of course the 2 olders boys are teenagers and are 17 and 13.5. Wow. The think that is even scarrier ( if that even is really a word, I don't think so but oh well
) is that my first born is officially going to be a 12th grader, a Senior in High School. Having Senior pictures taken last week was kind a real slap of reality for me. It seems almost like yesterday that I got my Senior pictures taken, but it's so hard to believe it was about 21 years ago. Yikes![]()
Asher had his PreSchool Graduation and Program. I am really getting old. My youngest is going to kindergarten, I can just hardly believe it. Asher is currently going to a Summer kindergarten rediness program the new Magnet school that he and Brianna will be going to this coming school year, just to get to know some of the kids and to get used to his teacher and what she expects before the school year starts.
Little Miss Brianna ( and I do mean little, she is still very petite, but growing upwards a bit), ended up somehow, by the skin of her teeth, as the saying goes, making it all the way through the year with
all "A"s
, and of course a Perfect Attendance award. The comment for the end of the year on her report card said "Brianna is a model student!"
I just only wish she was a model child here at home
. The horns come out here at home for sure. ![]()
Both Brianna and Asher (Tyler also played) played the Parks and Rec Center city ball this spring and just finished up the season last week. Brianna didn't get put on a very good team, in fact they pretty well stunk, and the coach didn't really seem to know what he was doing, that or he just couldn't get it across to the girls or something. I think they only won 2 or 3 games the entire season. Brianna was very frustrated for sure. She has always been on a really good winning team and this year was terrible for her. This year she had to move up a league to the 10-12 yr old Fast Pitch Softball league and it was really a whole different ballgame.
Asher too did not have a decent coach for his T-ball team. I mean the man was nice and all, but he really did not teach the kids much of anything to start a good foundation of baseball. All the other coaches of the other teams would make sure their kids were standing properly at the tee's and such, but our coach would just let them walk up there and stand where ever, however and swing. Most of the time he even had the tee up too high, and sometimes the little 5 yr olds would have to tell him it was too high and needed put down, he didn't even pay attention that it was up to their chin or anything of the sort. But, at least they do not keep score with t-ball, so no one won or lost.
Well school has been out for nearly 3 weeks now and life is still crazy. I also have been off from work since school was out. Yes, I stepped down from my financial duties at our church that I had been doing for the past year and a half. My husband and I decided it was time to stop working and be at home with the kids for the summer and allow Asher to have time off if he wanted it. But honestly I just could not let Brianna and her yongest older brother be home here all summer for the 4-6 hrs a day I was working. The two of them fight like a cat and dog fights. Both are so darn controling and opinionated.
Well, I think I will end for now, it is really getting late and I need to get to bed to get Asher and Brianna up and ready to head to the school in morning. Brianna is taking summer dance class at the new school, so Tues and Thurs she also goes to the school with Asher.
Until next time........ (thank you for reading and stop in to my TTM board and leave a message)
God bless,
Bridgett and Crew
