12/22/2006 - Merry Christmas!

December 22, 2006

I have been really busy, but I wanted to get a quick entry in before Christmas.  I had Wednesday and Thursday off this week all by myself and used them to try to catch up on my to-do list, wrapping, and cleaning the house.  Only about half the wrapping is done, but it is progress.  I am hoping to finish this weekend during Justin's naps if that is possible.  Really last minute, this is very unlike me, but Justin does not go to bed early anymore.  Last year I was able to do it a little each night after he went to bed, but now I am too exhausted by that time. 

I have started reading a book called Love and Logic Magic for Early Childhood (thank you Kate!), and I'm trying to start using some of the ideas in hopes of teaching Justin how to behave better.  What we are doing is not working, and there has to be a better way.  I will report more on that when I finish the book.  The sunroom is coming along nicely.  The construction is almost finished, we are waiting for the township to approve on the rough inspections, then they will finish up and do final inspections.  I will include pictures at some point!  Sorry this entry is so short and disorganized, but I really wanted to check in before the holiday.  Below is a picture of Justin and Lucky that we took last week.
