Our day at the mall and the questions phase

June 4, 2006Our day at the mall and the questions phase
Yesterday, I went to the mall with Justin and a friend from work. He needed to get a haircut, so we stopped in the kid's salon to do that. He behaves pretty well for haircuts as long as he can sit on my lap for it. They made it shorter than usual this time, which is good for summer. Then we had lunch at Ruby Tuesday's. Justin didn't eat much, just picked at his food a little, but he had fun coloring on the placemat with the crayons they gave him. He fell asleep on the way home for about 15 minutes, but basically missed his nap. He made up for it by sleeping 12 hours last night, much to my amazement. We are definitely not ready to give up naps permanently yet, but it is good to know that he can make it through the evening without one now and stay in a good mood.
Justin's new phase for the past month or so has been questions about everything. Who is that? What are you doing? Why? Why? Why? It is so cute. And he is very observant. Mommy, the neighbor's mowing the grass. The kids are playing outside. Justin's vacuuming. Daddy's watching TV. I wanna go outside! Please! Is it raining outside? Why not? Too cute!
