Valentine's Day and Anniversary
This year we made heart-shaped cookies for Valentine's Day, and decorated them with red, pink, and white frosting and sprinkles.  Justin helped with cutting out the cookies and putting the frosting on and it was great fun for him.  I brought some to work, and the girls enjoyed them too.  I made goody bags for the kids at school – there were only eight kids so it was easy – with things like stickers, yoyos, straws, and little toys.  Plus we got Justin a couple of little stuffed animals and more stickers, and some candy for each other.  Our eighth anniversary was also on Valentine's Day.  The weekend before, Justin was at a friend's house and we went out to lunch at a steak restaurant.  It was really nice to go out to eat and talk by ourselves.

New Desk
Justin is the proud owner of a big plastic preschooler desk for all his art supplies.  It's in the playroom/office near my desk, so I figured it would keep him busy while I am on the computer.  This worked pretty well for the first few days, but now he is back to getting in trouble in here!  It's a neat desk though with places for crayons, markers, paper, coloring books, etc. plus a cupholder, a little light, and a built-in white board.

Parties
There was a fundraiser party for his cousin's school for all the special needs classes, so we went to that last month.  It was at an indoor playground where her mom works, and we all had fun.  Then at the end of the month, we went to a third birthday party for a boy in Justin's class.  That one was at McDonalds.  They have a pretty big play area in there and the kids had a great time.

Free Time
What is that??  I haven't had much time to read lately (or write in my journal).  I have a whole stack of books on top of my bookcase waiting to be read.  I'll probably never get to them all, but the ones I really would like to finish are The Journey (yes I'm still reading that one) and Spirited Child.  I need to read Spirited Child, but it is hard most days to find even a few minutes to read.  By the time I actually have time to sit and read, I probably won't need the book anymore!  I did end up finishing Cell by Stephen King, but now he has another book out I haven't read yet.  Plus I've pre-ordered a couple of books that will be out this summer and fall.  Deep down I must love the chaos, because I'm always creating new projects for myself.  I couldn't imagine ever being bored, there are so many things I would like to do and so many books to read.

Thanks for reading!
