Just a quickie update…….

Life and time keep running away from me and there aren’t too many very exciting things going on. I find it hard to think of all the little details that make you laugh at the time and then write them down.

I’ve got to share this one with you though………………

Do you know the Dunkeroo cookies. They are little cookies that come in a plastic compartment and then there’s a little compartment with super sweet icing to dip the cookies in. Erika loves those and gets them as a treat once in a while. The other night she was having one just after having had her bath (and the fact that she had her bath is important – just to note that she was clean). I hear this “Mommy look, watch Erika”…. And I look over and what is she doing but dipping her toes in the cookie frosting and then sticking her toes in her mouth to lick off the frosting. Oh, to be so flexible again……

Words and sentences are developing faster than a speeding bullet. It’s so cool.

We’re not at the stage yet where everything they say is “WHY”. But we’re dealing with a constant flow of “What’s that”, “What’s that”, “What’s that”.

Erika has a big floor puzzle and she has really excelled quickly at putting the puzzle together all by herself. She went from having no idea how to do it at Christmas time to doing it almost all by herself now. That’s so cool.

I continue being busy at work and at home. Next week is spring break and even though I don’t get spring break off like the teachers and principals do, I will get to enjoy a week of quiet in casual dress and then we’re all taking Friday off. I’m really looking forward to a long weekend. In B.C., we don’t get a stat holiday between New Year’s and Easter so that’s a long stretch to go without a day off.

This was just a little interlude. I’ve got to go back to work now.
