No time + no money = a VERY slow Move!

Same old story, lol! We ARE making TONS of progress though! The biggest excitement in my life is that Chuck bought a spray paint gun! (Thank you Christina H for the great advice!) He should have one anyway for his business, so it was a great investment. I have about hmmmmm....11 rooms to paint (and that's primer plus two coats of color)and felt like I wanted to die every time I walked into the house. I was getting a sitter nightly and painting from about 5:30pm to 7pm. Every time I packed up to leave, Chuck would exclaim, quite dumbfounded "You're LEAVING, ALREADY?!" Yeah big guy, I have dinner to make and three kids to bathe and put to bed still. Ugh, we have had our share of spats in the last few weeks. We are in the home stretch though.

Last week, I enlisted my mom and her mower (yes, that’s ANOTHER purchase we still have to make, does it ever end?) to spend the morning with me at the house. The yard was in dire need of mowing and general upkeep, bushes trimmed etc. Charles and Lyssie were in school, and my little sweetie Sarah couldn’t have been more of an angel. For most of three hours, she sat in her stroller and watched with a few toys, a snack, and some juice. I love my Mom to pieces and she really does help me so much, but working with her can be stressful at times, lol. Due to my horrible back and surgeries, she is constantly asking how my back is doing and advising me on ways to do things or yelling at me for bending or lifting something. I pretty much know my limits and honestly do not usually overdo it, but hey, what are Moms for right? So anyway, I happened to be pulling the mower and walking backwards and I fell into a freaking well!!!!!!!!!!!! We did know it was there after we bought the house, but I had forgotten about it. It is about 3 feet deep and cement lined and I fell with one leg in, one leg out. It KILLED, but I popped up out of it in about 2 seconds because I didn’t want my Mother to see, lol. Well, she saw. I am ok, just black and blue and sore! So, she told everyone in the family and they all constantly call and ask if Chuck is going to close up the well because “We do have three kids you know?” Wow. Do we? I thought we could just leave it and let Sarah play in it or something? Make it a big snake pit for Charles maybe?!

Ok, anyway……..I sure have turned myself into a rambler with this diary. When I switched over to Moms, I realized I never talked much about me, like other writers here do, just mostly the kids. So, now, I feel I don’t talk about the kids enough!

Charles won the Spelling Bee for his class and was to represent his school in a big 2nd grade Spelling bee this past Friday. I was so proud of him and he was so excited! Chuck and I, and my Mom (and Sarah of course) went to watch and honestly, I can’t tell you how nervous I was for him. It was just a great event, and supposed to be all fun etc, but every time he stepped up to the microphone for his word, my heart nearly stopped beating. He spelled “stomach”, “mostly”, thoughts” and struck out on “camera”. As he was walking off the stage, I could just see that he was holding back tears and I was so crushed for him! He was so disappointed and didn’t want to hear us telling him about what a great job he had done!

Lyssie is doing well, she is getting ready to start up a 6 week Daisy (girl scouts) program for the summer. She is not without and occasional tantrum though. J A few days ago, she was told “No” by me for something (can’t remember what) and threw herself down and went into an all out crying, rolling around on the floor, LOUD tantrum right on the floor beside me. Sarah was on my lap nursing at that time and popped on and off whining a few times looking at Lyssie. Finally, she pooped off the breast with a start and hopped off my lap in one quick stride. She purposefully stomped over to Lyssie and smacked her on top of the head! I was in shock! Rest assured, we do not smack, spank, or hit Lyssie, I guess Sarah was just acting out in aggravation! She was told to “do nice” and Lyssie was sent to her room!

I updated Sarah’s webpage with new pics! Please let me know what you think! I tried to be a photographer, and took a roll of the kids in black and white at the beach.

Have a great week!

Tricia
