Five Weeks to a New You
Give Yourself a Makeover By Teri Brown
- Commit to your daily routine every day.
- Write in your journal.
- Make an appointment for a facial.
- Fill your pantry with healthy foods.
- Dry brush before your daily showers.
- If you are going to do some non surgical skin procedures, make your appointment.
Dry brushing is reported to increase circulation, rid the body of toxic wastes and decrease cellulite by ridding the body of some of the thousands of dead skin flakes daily. The directions are simple: The brush should be soft bristled and dry. Start at the soles of your feet and brush firmly up your legs, always brushing toward your heart. Brush in a circular motion over your stomach area. Brush your hands and arm, moving up toward your shoulders. Then shower. Remember to wash your brush often.
Week TwoGive yourself a natural body scrub. While there are many scrubs you can buy in the store, this scrub is effective and simple to make. Mix 2 ounces of crunchy peanut butter with 1 ounce finely-ground sea salt and 2 tablespoons of olive oil into a paste. Rub on damp skin all over your body. Rinse with warm water.
