Fall Into Fun!
Craft Projects With Nature in Mind
By Kymberly Pratt
Fall produces so many wonderful items for your craft projects. Pinecones, leaves of vibrant orange, yellow and rust and twigs are just a few of nature's bounty. We have some fun craft projects that celebrate fall, plus one that celebrates an all-time favorite children's snack!
Adult supervision is required for all crafts!
Craft Stick Frame
You'll need:
4 craft sticks (or wood picture frame)
White tacky glue
Sticks, leaves, pebbles, sand, etc.
4x6-inch picture
Here's what you help your child do:
If using craft sticks, glue the four together to form a picture frame. Allow time for the frame to dry before decorating. Pre-made wood frames could be used instead and painted.
Gather some leaves, flowers, small pebbles or other materials from outside and arrange them on the frame. Pick up each object carefully and apply some glue, then place it back on the frame. Allow the glue to dry completely before placing the picture in the frame.
Tip: Gather some items from your favorite vacation spot and decorate the frame. Put an appropriate picture in the frame to help you remember special times. You can even use an older frame that you want to spruce up a little.
Thankful Tree
