Men at Work
Doing Your Part to Repair
a Rocky Relationship By Carma Haley Shoemaker
How do you decide that enough is enough? "When you find you have two different value systems," says Nachshin. "It's nearly impossible to have a strong bond in any relationship when values differ dramatically. In the end, and from what I see all day, divorce usually comes down to that: opposing value systems."
a Rocky Relationship
"Marriage is hard work from either side," says Nachshin. "And when things are not going the way we had hoped or wanted, it sometimes takes a bit of overtime to get things back on track. It can be done and you can do it, even if you have to ask for help. Don't be afraid to talk to someone or to get help in order to start moving in the right direction with your relationship. The worst effort is the one you didn't take. And if you have to get some advice, guidance or intervention in order to put forth an effort, then so be it. It will be worth it when you can look into your loved one's eyes and see what you had seen once before."
