Investigating Mother's Intuition

It took me a while to get comfortable with my own intuition as it concerned my daughter. But over the years, it has proven to be a reliable source of help and information. Because I have been fortunate in meeting hundreds of mothers over the past 20 years who have shared their intuitive experiences with me, I believe that our sixth sense enhances the maternal instinct so that we can "know without knowing how we know" what our children need to stay healthy and safe.

Dr. Laurie Nadel has a dual career in psychology and journalism. She directed a program for teenagers who have lost a parent in the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. She now does pro bono counseling for The Committee to Protect Journalists, a human rights organization she helped to found in 1981.
