Tips for Having a Great Time with Your Toddler at a Theme Park

"There is nothing like visiting the parks with a toddler in tow – seeing them through their amazed eyes," Baumann says. "It is a great time to visit because the magic is real and fascinates the little ones." There are special savings, and every weekend will feature special musical performances from Disney Channel favorites. Your kids will get the chance to meet their favorites, and you get the chance to be their heroes.
Of course, if Mickey is still a bit of a reach, perhaps Grover and Elmo have something to offer.
Sesame Place, located in Langhorne, Pa., was designed by the creators of Sesame Street. Their goal? "To provide a theme park environment with fun-filled thrills and challenges that a young child can explore and feel immediate success," says Paula Pritchard, Sesame Place's director of communications.
All of the rides and attractions are appropriate for young children. Super Grover's Vapor Trail might well be your first roller coaster ride as an entire family. Sky Splash, topped by a giant Rubber Duckie, is a water ride with rafts for a family of six.
"Parents are always searching for ways to create memories together with their young children that will last a lifetime," Pritchard says. "The moment toddlers enter Sesame Place, they will know hat this park was designed especially for them." Hugging Cookie Monster? Actually tickling Elmo? Counting with The Count? You have spent a lifetime wanting to do that, and now you can – oh, and your kids can, too.
